Job description

Position Statement:The Design Specialist will report to the Director of Design, UK & Nordics, and will take responsibility for the delivery of soft renovation and focused service renovation projects. The role also includes responsibility for presentation work on behalf of the AD&C team, ad-hoc administrative assistance to the Hilton Design team and coordination with the general administration team.Position Summary:Design role

  • Taking the lead in managing the design development and delivery of soft renovation and focused service renovation projectsFulfilling a designer role on small like for like or limited design scope (small soft renovation) projectsSupporting with design for projects across Europe, including new developments, conversions, and renovations of existing hotels.Working closely with the design team to establish design direction and key brand identity elements specific to Europe.Preparing design narratives and material boards.Working with the design team to guide external consultants on Hilton brand standards and requirements.Meeting and approving suppliers and communicating recommendations to the design team on a regular basis.Managing the fixtures, furnishings, and equipment (FF&E) library.Presentation WorkContributing to reports and presentations for the AD&C team as follows but not limited to:Quarterly ReportYear End PresentationsExecutive Presentations for SVP and VPBrand Presentations quarterly updatesGeneral presentations as required by the VP DesignPreparing reports and presentations as required for hotel owners and developers.Administration WorkProviding general administrative assistance to the Hilton Design team as required. This may include diary management, travel arrangements (including visas), research, drafts of correspondence, assisting with emails, post and printing requests and HR queries.Act as a point of contact between the admin team and the AD&C Design team to keep on top of department events on behalf of the design team.What are we looking for?Success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills including:Experience in helping hotel operations teams deliver small-scale interior design projectsKnowledge of the hotel sector and roles and responsibilities of the various functions and management types of hotelsKnowledge of the funding source and procurement routes of key Hilton suppliersKnowledge of procurement, project management, and design products and finishesTo fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum requirements:Minimum Years of Industry Experience: 18 months working within the hospitality sector specifically within hotelsMinimum Years of Experience: 18 months interior design experienceEducation: Minimum 2:1 BA Interior Architecture and DesignProficiency in InDesign, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketch Up and PowerPointMust speak English fluentlyAbility to travel#li-hybrid#li-dw1
