Job Description:

At Leonardo, we have an opportunity for an experienced Reliability Engineer to join our Supportability team.

The Supportability function is involved in all stages of a programme, from initial development, production, customer support and repairs, to disposal.

This role suits someone with a background in Electronics Design, familiar with circuit diagrams and component selection, seeking a new challenge.

  • Influencing design through Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Testability analysis.
  • Modeling product reliability and generating Functional Block Diagrams.
  • Creating and maintaining Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA/FMECA).
  • Understanding failure detection methods including Built-In-Test (BIT).
  • Advising on and developing Reliability Growth Tests and Finite Element Analyses.

Working across Radar and Advanced Targeting areas, you will analyze and influence supportability characteristics and strategies for Leonardo's next generation products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with Project Teams to deliver Supportability Engineering work in Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Testability.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to implement reliability solutions before production.

Qualifications:

Honours degree in engineering or a science discipline, with industry or relevant experience in defense or related fields.
