Design & Project Manager - Great Yarmouth

Competitive salary dependent on experience.

Are you an experienced Design Engineer used to managing projects from conception to delivery? If so, our client is looking for a Design & Project Manager.

Overall Responsibilities
  • Detailing of custom solutions to match orders.
  • Liaison with suppliers for parts manufacture regarding costs and with Workshop Supervisor for organization of production and timely delivery of high-standard products.
  • Occasional assembly to review design and manufacture of parts and implement improvements.
Specific Duties
  • Preparing customer GA CAD drawings for approval.
  • Detailing manufacturing drawings to fulfill the GA.
  • Creating BOMs for special products and procurement as required.
  • Working with Workshop Supervisor to plan and execute production ensuring sales orders are fulfilled on time, with the correct specifications and quality.
  • Maintaining drawings for continuous improvement of standard products.
  • Customer liaison on projects.
  • Performing other duties as reasonably required by the company to fulfill the position.
Skills & Attributes
  • Conceptually sound solutions that can be manufactured economically and assembled easily.
  • SolidWorks experience with the ability to work in 3D.
  • Ability to produce accurate detailed drawings on time for suppliers.
  • Knowledge of Machinery Standards.
  • Strong communication skills with the workshop team.
  • Willingness and ability to work as part of a team.
