Overview

Role Overview Lead the pre-construction phase of civil engineering and infrastructure schemes. Deliver construction-ready plans, coordinate design packages, manage risks, and ensure projects are low-risk, compliant, and profitable.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee design management, site investigations, budgets, and programmes.
  • Chair progress meetings and coordinate consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure buildability, compliance, and safety through design reviews.
  • Input into bids, identify risks, and support cost control and supply chain engagement.
Candidate Profile
  • Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Strong design and pre-construction management experience.
  • Knowledge of NEC3 contracts, risk, programme, and cost control.
  • Leadership skills to manage small engineering teams.
  • Proven experience in drainage, utilities, and large diameter water infrastructure projects.
