Are you passionate about sustainability and delivering innovative engineering solutions? Join Stantec, a global leader in sustainable design and engineering, and make a real impact on the water industry. We are excited to continue our growth journey in Northern Ireland and have plans for expansion in 2025 and beyond. We have been appointed to Northern Ireland Water’s IF182 Professional Services Framework and look forward to continuing work with Uisce Eireann on the Engineering Design Services Framework in the South. Taoiseach Simon Harris recently opened our new Dublin office, and we have moved to a new city centre office in Belfast. This exciting pipeline of work, coupled with the scale of opportunity across the AMP8 cycle in the UK, means we are seeking a Design Manager / Design Lead with experience in the water industry to join us in Belfast. We can be flexible with location and are open to applicants in Dublin or elsewhere.

You will play a fundamental role within projects to identify innovative and sustainable solutions, plan technical delivery and lead the multidisciplinary team from concept stage through to final delivery, working alongside the Project Manager to deliver best value and client service excellence.

About You

You will be a degree qualified (or equivalent) engineer and will ideally be chartered, or a member of a relevant engineering institution. Support can be given to achieve this if required. You will have a background in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering. You will have a passion for solving engineering problems, the ability to lead and inspire and the confidence to drive through challenging solutions. We have opportunities for differing levels of seniority, so if you are looking to kick start your leadership career, we\'ll support you on your journey.
