Role Overview

Mott MacDonald Bentley is recruiting a Design Manager to join the Anglian Water @One Alliance. This role involves leading the design and delivery of wastewater infrastructure solutions, focusing on sustainability and innovation within the AMP8 capital investment program.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design Management: Oversee design teams, ensure high-quality project plans, control scope, costs, risks, and resources. Collaborate with discipline leads and BIM managers to uphold design standards.
2. Project Delivery: Partner with stakeholders to deliver outcomes on time and within budget. Manage risks proactively and support value optimization.
3. Health & Safety: Fulfill Principal Designer duties according to CDM regulations. Ensure safety and compliance throughout project lifecycle.
4. People & Team Development: Lead multidisciplinary teams, manage performance, support recruitment, and promote an inclusive culture.
5. Transformation & Innovation: Drive digital transformation, sustainability initiatives, and innovative engineering practices, including carbon reduction and 3D modelling.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will have experience in wastewater infrastructure design, including pipelines, pumping stations, and CSOs. Leadership skills, stakeholder collaboration, a commitment to sustainability, and knowledge of CDM regulations are essential.
