Job description

Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for a Visual Content Manager to lead and manage established illustration, photography and Eavy Metal teams to ensure that all the art, photos and painted miniatures in our amazing Warhammer 40,000, Kill Team, Middle-earth and Blood Bowl products are produced to a high quality, efficiently and on time.

Highly organised and passionate about developing a high performing team, you will be responsible for setting the direction for your team as you manage and optimise their activities to ensure all quality standards are met. We’ll look to you to set clear goals and provide feedback and direction as appropriate through individual and peer review feedback sessions.

Thriving through collaborating with others, you will work closely with Product Developers and Planners to build schedules to ensure projects can be delivered on time. We’ll see you regularly working with cross-functional internal teams to confidently make decisions and ensure all works are delivered to the agreed schedule.

To be suitable for this role you should have a strong background in managing the creation of visual content and an intrinsic understanding of the visual presentation of Warhammer through the prisms of art, photos and painted miniatures. The successful applicant will be a guardian of visual quality across our products. A confident communicator, you will articulately communicate ideas and decisions in a way that can be understood by a variety of audiences.

Working at Games Workshop

At Games Workshop we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is even more important than your skills and experience.

The Warhammer World site is based just outside of Nottingham city centre and benefits from a nearby tram stop and free onsite car parking.

In return for your hard work, you will receive 33 days holiday per year (including public holidays), matching contributory pension scheme up to 7.5%, profit share bonus (subject to GW meeting profit targets) and option to join our Share Save scheme. Oh and let’s not forget, a staff discount of between 25% and 50% on our products!
