Design Manager (SolidWorks) – Hybrid in Crawley

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Training + Progression + Hybrid + Company Benefits

Are you a Design Manager or a Design Engineer looking to step up into a Manager or Team Leader role with a small, established design team?

Join a global leader in the container and storage business that creates bespoke equipment for customers, with the autonomy to propose new business ideas. The business has grown steadily and is expanding its design team. We are seeking someone who can effectively lead the team and shape it in their own image. The role offers the opportunity to join a successful global leader with strong staff retention and flexible remote/hybrid options.

The ideal candidate will have experience in CAD design and SolidWorks, and is seeking to lead a team or already has transferable leadership experience.

The Role

• Lead the design team of 2 staff
• Sign off a variety of bespoke designs
• Coach and mentor junior members of the team
• Work with other senior team members across the business to create new innovative ideas to help the business grow and evolve
• Help create designs in CAD and SolidWorks

The Person

• Design background in CAD and SolidWorks
• Willingness to lead a small team of designers
• Commutable distance to Worthing, whether hybrid or remote with occasional visits
