Overview

Sphere Solutions are currently looking to recruit an experienced Design Manager to join one of our main contractor clients in Cardiff on a permanent basis.

Our client is a household name a large and very well established main contractor. They are highly successful and one of the fastest growing builders in the region. They carry out a diverse range of projects up to £80 million typically and are part of most of the major regional frameworks. Staff turnover is very low and many of their team have been there for over 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design aspects of tenders and projects in progress.
• Establish, maintain and manage effective project design resource and team profile at bid and delivery stage.
• Lead and provide a professional, comprehensive and sustainable design service for customers, key partners and suppliers.
• Manage and coordinate safely the overall design process through the RIBA design stages, challenge the brief and bring innovation and continuous improvements.

Location

Project location ranges from West Wales to Newport; flexible as regards the location of the incumbent.
