Job summary

Salter Grange is in search of a proactive Design Manager to join one of the UK's largest privately-owned construction, development, and property services companies. The role covers nationwide government frameworks projects with values of £5m - £20m, and involves involvement in a £50m Commercial Fit-Out/Refurbishment scheme to support the design function.

Qualifications

• Experience in new-build, modular, and MOJ projects.
• Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration.
• Ability to coordinate design and construction teams.
• Positive can-do attitude and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project team comments and resolve design-related construction queries with the design team.
• Demonstrate management qualities to encourage effective design team and construction team coordination and collaborative working to meet project goals.
• Understand the project requirements, including Client brief & business processes, and Employer Requirements.
• Assist in mitigating design risks as part of the team.
• Take part in design coordination and design progress meetings with the design team and subcontractors, ensuring design risk assessments are produced.
• Support the production of the Contractors' Proposals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate and oversee a pragmatic design timeline and information schedule.
• Champion Continuous Improvement strategies and innovation.
• Verify designs undergo thorough review and validation to achieve compliance.
• Mitigate health and safety concerns and address design intricacies.
