The Opportunity:
Laing O'Rourke are currently recruiting for an Electrically biased Design Manager for an aviation / airport project in Greater London. A Laing O'Rourke Design Manager ensures that all design information is reviewed and delivered in line with the design management procedures for completeness and compliance with contractual obligations, including factors such as programme, buildability, safety, maintenance and technical suitability. In addition, the Design Manager oversees the production, control and distribution of design information at different project stages and ensures regular progress reporting of the design is in place.
The Laing O'Rourke Design Manager is a senior member of the Design Job Family and Technical Function, which is there to ensure technical excellence, assurance and performance across all projects and opportunities from pre-project, early engagement and work winning through to detailed delivery. All of our designers are part of our Engineering Enterprise which aims to maximise and realise the potential of design to increase certainty on our projects.
