Salary: £58,000- £65,000.

Location: Solihull.

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Design Manager on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Apply professional Design Management across projects.
  2. Show ambition and a willingness to work flexibly, both in our regional offices and on-site.
  3. Develop personal growth opportunities for the team.
  4. Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards and recommending system improvements.
  5. A good understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work and experience through pre- and post-contract stages.
  6. Defining design programmes, design deliverables and communications across multiple complex projects.
  7. Supporting the Lead Consultant in project administration and reporting.
  8. Leading design team meetings with internal and external consultants.
  9. Supporting Client technical approval processes and internal quality assurance.
  10. Leading the Design team to ensure projects are set up for success.

Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Managing design teams and projects as Lead Consultant.
  2. Relevant design industry experience, with a background on large complex projects, such as Architecture or Engineering, ideally with chartered status.
  3. Be proficient in the use of digital tools to manage the design process such as MS Excel, MS Project, and document management platforms.
  4. Experience of defining BIM deliverables and design programming is advantageous.

Salary: £58,000- £65,000.
