We are seeking a talented and experienced Design Manager to join our team in West London. The successful candidate will manage the design process from pre-construction through to construction for projects up to £30m.

Job Purpose

Manage the design process from pre-construction to ensure compliant, accurate, and timely design information, utilizing your experience, knowledge, and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

1. Plan all aspects of the project, identify challenges, and propose cost-effective solutions.
2. Ensure compliance with current legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
3. Minimize health, safety, and financial risks during construction.
4. Maintain a steady flow of quality information to keep the project on schedule.
5. Build strong relationships with stakeholders through open and clear communication.

Experience and Skills

1. Understanding of traditional construction and Design & Build (D&B) methods.
2. Thorough knowledge of CDM regulations.
3. Experience with software such as BIM and 4Projects.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Excellent communication skills at all levels.
6. Knowledge of various procurement methods, including frameworks, negotiated, and two-stage tenders.
