Premises Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for an Assistant Design Manager or Design Manager to join a leading design consultancy in London. The role is site based on a £35m commercial refurbishment/Cat A fit out project, with project values typically £30m–£70m.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction design management and familiarity with CAT A/B office fit-outs is advantageous.

• Monitor design programmes and help resolve technical issues.
• Attend design and project meetings.
• Review drawings and ensure information is issued in line with the construction programme.

Assistant Design Manager / Design Manager

The City, London | £40,000 to £70,000 + Package (DOE)

I'm working with an exciting design consultancy that has forged an excellent reputation for providing design management expertise on projects across London.

Due to continued growth and several new project wins, they're looking to appoint both an experienced Assistant Design Manager or Design Manager to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the variety of working across complex construction projects while benefiting from the support and development of an experienced design management team.

The Role

You'll be working on a £35m Commercial refurbishment and Cat A fit out project, working closely with an established main contractor while remaining part of a specialist design management consultancy.

Following this project most team members typically support two live projects, giving you exposure to a broad range of schemes and clients.

Projects are generally based in London and include:

• Commercial office developments
• CAT A and CAT B office fit outs
• Cut and carve refurbishments
• Hotel developments
• Super Prime residential

Project values typically range from £30m to £70m.

This role will be site based, with potential for occasional flexible working on future projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage design information between consultants, subcontractors and the site team.

About You

For the Assistant Design Manager role you'll ideally have around two to three years' experience within construction.

For the Design Manager position you'll already have experience managing the design process on live construction projects.

You'll ideally have experience working for a main contractor, although applicants from architectural or consultancy backgrounds will also be considered, if you've had exposure to construction delivery.
