Job summary

Locri Recruitment is seeking a Design Manager for predominantly site-based work across London, with one day per week in the Surrey office. The role focuses on design management and technical coordination for high-end workplace and commercial fit-out projects, collaborating with clients, contractors and consultants.

The ideal candidate will have strong UK high-end fit-out experience, proven design management or technical coordination background, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in Design Management, technical coordination or a similar position.
• A good understanding of construction, detailing and technical delivery.
• Confidence communicating with clients, contractors and consultants.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently.
• Looking to build long term client relationships.
• Revit experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.

About the Practice

We are working with a long-standing client who has established strong relationships with a number of leading London-based companies. With a growing pipeline of high-end workplace and commercial fit-out projects, they are now looking to appoint a Design Manager to join their team.

The Role

This is a predominantly site-based role across London, with approximately one day per week in the Surrey office.

You will take responsibility for the design management and technical coordination of high-end workplace and commercial fit-out projects, working closely with clients, contractors, consultants and wider project teams.

The role would suit a confident and personable professional who enjoys working collaboratively, taking ownership of projects and being involved throughout the construction process.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with clients and contractors, take responsibility for key aspects of project delivery and continue developing your career within a growing business.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Strong UK high-end workplace and commercial fit-out experience is essential
• Previous experience in Design Management, technical coordination or a similar position
• A good understanding of construction, detailing and technical delivery
• Confidence communicating with clients, contractors and consultants
• Strong organisational and communication skills
