List of responsibilities


The Facade Design Manager forms part of the Design team within the global structure of the company and
assumes general responsibilities that proactively contribute to the growth of FaƧade Design capabilities andall other disciplines across the globe.


This includes responsibility for all design, documentation, administration and compliance with project constraintsundertaken for FaƧade and all other disciplines.

You will also need to fulfil legal responsibilities commensuratewith your position.


The following is an overview of the responsibilities and performance standards required of the Facade Design
Manager:

Duties include but not limited to:

  • The main contact for the project design team and ensure project deliverables are met
  • Coordinate and develop delivery systems with the Dubai Office for Project Documentation as required
  • Build the design discipline and team in London
  • Produce details of faƧade systems based on architectural sketches and assist in the delivery of detailedfaƧade tender packages
  • Provide 2D drafting using Autocad software for architectural documentation and detailed working drawingssuch as architectural faƧade tender submissions and shop drawing packages for FaƧade/Curtain wallprojects and prepare material schedules
  • Provide 3D drafting using AutoCAD, Rhino, Solidworks and/or Sketchup Pro to develop 3-dimensional detailsfor design development and/or drawing documentation as required
  • Interpret and produce fabrication-level detailed drawings, sketches and written instructions
  • Coordinate with the relevant parties to raise/resolve project-related issues which could affect the delivery
    of the documentation
  • Maintain internal document control of drawings and changes in accordance with Inhabit standards
  • Review and evaluate design deliverables to ensure buildability and compliance, liaising with the clients
    design team and specialist suppliers

  • Qualifications
    Skills and Experience

  • Master's degree in Architecture (or 5-year equivalent) or Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
  • Significant experience working in the construction industry
  • Extensive familiarity with faƧade systems, faƧade design, materials and fabrication/manufacture
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to hand sketch for presentation purposes
  • Client and team-focused
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and codes for faƧades and services
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Be flexible to meet the varied demands of the role
  • You must have the right to work in the UK
