Your new company
One of the UK's leading contractors with over a 100 years of experience. Operating across the UK in a number of sectors including: Construction, Residential, Fit Out, Maintenance and Engineering
Your new role
Working on projects in Cambridge and also the surrounding area, they are looking for Design Managers to join their Cambridge team. As Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality outcomes, improving buildability, and encouraging innovation across their projects. You'll collaborate closely with industry specialists and in-house technical team to ensure that designs align with project briefs, while maintaining a strong focus on value, compliance, commercial viability, and best practice.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a realistic design programme and information schedule to support design, procurement, and construction activities.
• Champion continuous improvement and innovation throughout the design process.
• Ensure all designs are reviewed and verified for compliance, health and safety, and buildability before construction begins.
• Identify and manage key risks and opportunities at each stage of the design and delivery process.
