Job summary

Une entreprise de consultancy en gestion de projets recherche un Design Manager pour diriger la gestion de conception sur divers projets de construction complexes. Le candidat idéal aura une expérience pertinente en gestion de projets, de bonnes compétences en leadership et travaillera sur des projets variés comme la science de la vie et les centres de données. Des qualités de proactivité et une attention aux détails sont essentielles, tout comme une connaissance des processus RIBA et BIM.

Qualifications

• Expérience dans la gestion d'équipes de conception et de projets en tant que Lead Consultant.
• Connaissance des processus BIM et de la livraison de conception.
• Capacité à travailler de manière autonome et à gérer de grandes équipes de conception.

Responsibilities

• Définir des programmes de conception, des livrables de conception et des communications à travers des projets complexes.
• Soutenir l'administration et le reporting des projets avec le Lead Consultant.
• Animer des réunions d'équipe de conception avec des consultants internes et externes.

Job description

Our client is a multi-disciplinary project management consultancy firm, looking for a Design Manager who can engage with their multi-disciplinary design teams to shape how design management is carried out on their projects. If you have experience of running complex projects as a Lead Consultant, or Project Architect this could be a good step-up for your career.

What you need to do to be effective in this role?

• Apply professional Design Management across various new build construction projects such as life science, data centres.
• Show ambition and a willingness to work flexibly, both in our regional offices and on-site.
• Develop personal growth opportunities for the team.
• Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards and recommending system improvements.
• A good understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work and experience through pre- and post-contract stages.
  
  

What are the day to day role duties?

• Defining design programmes, design deliverables and communications across multiple complex projects.
• Supporting the Lead Consultant in project administration and reporting.
• Leading design team meetings with internal and external consultants.
• Supporting Client technical approval processes and internal quality assurance.
• Leading the Design team to ensure projects are set up for success.
  
  

The skills and experience you need to have for this role

• Managing design teams and projects as Lead Consultant.
• Relevant design industry experience, with a background on large complex projects, such as Architecture or Engineering, ideally with chartered status.
• Be proficient in the use of digital tools to manage the design process such as MS Excel, MS Project, and document management platforms.
• Experience of defining BIM deliverables and design programming is advantageous.
