Job summary

RG Setsquare is representing a top tier Building Contractor in Maidstone, recruiting a Design Manager to join their expanding team.

The ideal candidate will come from a similar construction role with top tier or mid tier project exposure, and possess a strong, process-driven approach. You will lead design management, coordinate consultants, and chair client and stakeholder meetings to drive projects from concept to delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar construction design role.
• Top Tier or Mid Tier project exposure (consultancy or main contractor).
• Strong process-driven approach to design delivery.

Responsibilities

• Managing the construction programming through the cycle of the build.
• Programme control and coordination of trades for projects valued £5–£15 million.
• Add cost and design input to the delivery process and end product.
• Co-ordinating all design and project consultants
• Managing and chairing meetings with client and stakeholders

Job description

Our Client is a Top Tier Building Contractor whom are looking for a Design Manager to join their expanding team.

The ideal candidate will already be working in a similar construction role and have Top Tier or Mid tier, consultancy or main contractor Project experience.

As Design Manager you will have strong process driven experience, and take responsibility for:

• Managing the construction programming through the cycle of the build and be able to understand the construction sequence and techniques employed.
• Running 5 new Build Commercial, Residential, Care Homes . Programme control and the co-ordination of trades and the ability to adapt this where required. Project value £5 million to £15 million.
• Add cost and design input on the delivery process and end product
• Co-Coordinating all design and project consultants
• Managing and chairing meetings with client and stakeholders
