Job summary

AVK in Maidenhead is seeking a Design Manager to lead the Engineering team on Standby projects, ensuring design integrity from handover from sales to service and overseeing the full design lifecycle. You will manage a team of engineers, coordinate with electrical, mechanical, CAD/BIM and control systems experts, and align with operations, sales and concept design through pre-construction and delivery.

• Identify and address design risks to EHS and longevity of works.
• Monitor design costs through the project lifecycle and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Manage the design phase to ensure supply chain design meets standards and is delivered on time.

We’re looking for a Design Manager to join our Engineering team.

The Design Manager for a Standby business unitis responsible forleading and overseeing the design and implementation of Standby projects. This role involves managing a team of engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver Standby Projects. The Design Manager will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of Standby Projects, meeting client requirements, and staying abreast of industry trends and regulations.

You willbe responsible fortaking on the design and engineering from handover from sales to handover to Service. You will need to manage all aspects of the design via your team.

You and your team will work under the guidance of theOperationsDirector&EngineeringDirector,working closely with the sales and concept design team, pre-construction, and operations teams.
