Design Manager

Location: UK-Macclesfield

I am recruiting for a Design Manager in Macclesfield who has a background in Architectural or MEP Design, along with knowledge of NEC Contracts. Experience in life sciences is desirable for a fit-out and remodelling project. Salary will be based on experience and suitability.

This is an opportunity for a Design Manager to join the Life Science team in Macclesfield. The Design Manager will report to the project team, fully understanding and managing the design requirements of the tender/project, and providing assistance and guidance to design coordinators as needed. The framework covers small works ranging from £300k to £4m. This role is an on-site position, working alongside the Sisk framework team and the client framework team.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage design consultants and sub-consultants, along with design subcontractors, to ensure correct and timely delivery of all design-related information for the execution of the works on site.
2. Manage design coordinators and act as a mentor for them on the projects they are involved in.
3. Contribute to the Employer's Requirement/Contractor Proposal Compatibility.
4. Manage and assist the Design Co-ordinator during the construction phase.
5. Chair and minute design meetings, ensuring the production of information aligns with the design.
