Job Description

Urban Connect is currently supporting a Tier 1 Water Contractor, already winning multiple Thames Water projects. We are recruiting for 2 X Design Managers to lead the design on £50m STW schemes.

This is a hybrid role with weekly site visits for all-hands meetings. The Design Manager will report to a Senior Design Manager overseeing 2 projects, providing substantial support, but will serve as the main point of contact for the client and third parties.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead multi-discipline design delivery (M&E, Civil, Structural, Architectural & Other Specialists)
2. Implement value engineering principles to optimize design solutions and minimize costs
3. Act as the primary point of contact for clients on design-related matters
4. Manage the design budget and schedule, track progress, and report variances
