Salter Grange is presently collaborating with a distinguished General Contractor, well-known for delivering critical infrastructure that powers the future. We're seeking an experienced Design Manager to join their dynamic London team on a high-profile Data Centre project.


As Design Manager, you'll lead the design process from pre-construction with vision and precision, ensuring seamless delivery of a high-profile Data Centre project in London.


Design Manager responsibilities:
  1. Partnering with clients, Project Managers, and consultants to develop and manage the Design Delivery Schedule.
  2. Procuring design services, negotiating scope and pricing from tender to appointment.
  3. Coordinating workload across project and consultant design teams for optimal efficiency.
  4. Driving innovative solutions for design changes, backed by research and collaboration.
  5. Leading a skilled design team to meet milestones, with proactive strategies to stay on track.
  6. Contributing to strategic planning to elevate project outcomes.
Design Manager Requirements:
  1. Degree in architecture, engineering, building services, or a related field.
  2. 5+ years' experience managing design on high-value projects with leading Main Contractors.
  3. Strong CSA and MEP knowledge; sector experience is flexible if you've worked on complex builds.
  4. Understanding of site delivery, contracts, building regulations, BCAR, planning, and PSDP processes.
  5. A technical mindset, leadership skills, and a passion for delivering excellence.
