Design Manager

Salary: £60k to £70k
Location: London (Thames Valley)
Region: London to Oxford

Are you an experienced Design Manager with over 5 years of design management experience? Are you Degree Qualified and come from a Dual contractor/consultant background? Are you looking for an opportunity to join a rapidly expanding division within a highly reputable Contractor with excellent progression prospects?

Then a role within an award-winning, Tier 1 world, innovative construction contractor could be for you. We are looking for an exceptional Design Manager with solid experience to support projects in London and the Thames Valley Corridor.

Duties:

• Proven design management skills
• Manage the process, resolution and communication of all design queries as part of the project
• Able to control external consultants and client approval teams to ensure programme and budget is maintained
• Ability to critically analyse information to identify the key to an issue
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to persuade and influence others to gain agreement to and acceptance of ideas

As an experienced Design Manager, you will be educated to Degree level, have experience working on large projects, and have previous experience at a managerial level. Must have spent 12 months completing designs as part of a consultancy or Temporary works design department and understand the Principal Designer Duties including ERIC.
