Design Manager
Are you interested in a Design Manager role? Interested in working with one of the UK and Ireland's leaders in delivering temporary and modular buildings?

Client:
Our client is a leading offsite construction and modular building specialist. They have a fantastic opportunity for a Design Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company at an exciting time.
Responsibilities:

1. Manage all aspects of design from inception to completion for a national Design and Build Contractor.
2. Work closely with the Manufacturing team.
3. Ensure work is of high quality and within budget.
4. Ensure all designs are developed in line with DfMA principles.
5. Review design information in accordance with Building Regulations, Employers' Requirements, independent quality assurance, CDM, BSA, and all statutory bodies.
6. Create and manage design programmes, consultant scope documents, design responsibility matrix, derogation schedules, risk register, progress trackers, and design reports to ensure successful project completion.

The Ideal Person:

1. Possess a 3rd level qualification.
2. Strong technical skills and knowledge with a high attention to detail.
3. Knowledge of BIM, BREEAM, and use of Procore CDE and Construction Management software would be beneficial.
4. Demonstrate sound project management skills.
5. Candidates must have a detailed working knowledge of all current Building Regulations and the new Building Safety Act, including its implications across all projects and the principal designer role.
6. Working knowledge and experience of the CDM 2015 regulations and the duties of the principal designer and principal contractor.
7. Sector-related experience in education and/or healthcare and/or commercial (desirable).
