Job summary

Fawkes & Reece are recruiting a Design Manager for a prestigious hotel refurbishment in Central London. You will own the design from structural modification through completion, coordinating architects, consultants and specialist subcontractors to meet programme, quality and commercial goals.

You'll oversee design packages in a fast-paced environment on a flagship London project, with long-term career progression in a design-led refurbishment scheme.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Design Manager with a Tier 1 or leading main contractor.
• Delivery experience on refurbishment, cut & carve or complex structural alteration projects.
• Experience in hotel, commercial, mixed-use or high-end residential sectors is advantageous.
• Strong technical understanding, coordination skills and stakeholder management.
• Ability to manage multiple design packages in a fast-paced environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a technically challenging scheme involving extensive cut & carve structural alterations, followed by a high-specification internal fit-out.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the design process from structural modification through to completion, coordinating consultants, specialist subcontractors and the project delivery team to ensure programme, quality and commercial objectives are achieved.
