We are partnered with a forward-thinking steel contractor specialising in bespoke structural and architectural steel solutions. With a strong pipeline of exciting projects, they are looking to strengthen with a talented Design Manager.

The Role

As Design Manager, you will take ownership of the design process from tender through to delivery, ensuring technical excellence, and client satisfaction. You will coordinate design activities, manage consultants and subcontractors, and provide leadership within the design team to achieve project milestones.

This role is open to individuals already working as Design Managers, or ambitious design professionals (e.g. Senior Architectural Technicians, Designers, Design Coordinators, or Project Engineers) seeking the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the design process for bespoke light gauge steel projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions.
  • Manage design programmes, ensuring timely delivery in line with project schedules.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior designers.
  • Support tender and pre-construction activities with technical input.
