We are looking to grow our Capital Design Division with a Design Manager to work within our Water Treatment Design team.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Reporting to the Design Business Lead for Water Treatment, the Design Manager will lead an integrated team of Severn Trent design staff and consultants to develop engineering solutions for a wide range of Water Treatment Projects. Directly accountable for a team of design professionals, you will develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and drive the identification and management of risks which could impact on the successful delivery of the capital programme.
This role will primarily be focused on based plan, looking after a wide range of projects from borehole works, water treatment processes to treated water tanks. Directly accountable for a team of design professionals and consultants, you will develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and lead a programme of design activity working closely with our supply chain.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
Ideally degree qualified in a related discipline, you will be an experienced manager with strong coaching skills in solution design. You will have experience managing design projects, ideally water treatment related. You will have strong planning and implementation skills, with experience of managing external suppliers to deliver outputs in timely manner, within budget and to prescribed standards and quality measures. You have experience of driving innovation and implementation of new solutions. A full UK driving licence will be required.
You will have excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people. You will be a forward-thinking innovator, capable of anticipating challenges and responding to change in a rapidly evolving environment. You will be able to make educated judgments and decisions in the face of ambiguity, and have a good grasp of the bigger picture, seeking opportunities to contribute to the wider agenda.
