Design Lead Architect – London Studio Associate

Job summary

10 Design in London is expanding its studio and seeks an Associate Architect with strong leadership and design delivery capabilities to lead multidisciplinary teams across UK and international projects.

You will develop design from concept to construction, manage client relationships, and contribute to business development while mentoring junior staff. This senior role offers progression toward Associate Director within an internationally recognised practice.

Qualifications

• ARB registered Architect (RIBA Part III) or international equivalent.
• 8+ years of professional experience within a design-led architectural practice.
• Demonstrable experience leading project teams and coordinating multidisciplinary consultants.
• Experience delivering UK and/or international projects.
• Experience delivering projects in the Middle East, particularly Saudi Arabia and the UAE, would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of project delivery across multiple RIBA work stages.
• Experience managing client relationships and project stakeholders.
• Demonstrable expertise in one or more sectors, including mixed-use, hospitality, residential, commercial, science and research, civic or cultural projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and take ownership of project delivery across a variety of project types and work stages.
• Coordinate internal teams, consultants and specialist advisors.
• Lead design development from concept through to detailed design.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and lead meetings.
• Mentor Architects, Project Architects and Architectural Assistants.
• Contribute to bids, proposals and interview presentations.
