Job summary

Impression Recruitment in Bradford is seeking a Design Lead to take ownership of major engineering projects, coordinating cross-disciplinary design delivery from concept to construction. The role suits a senior professional with a strong background in civil/mechanical disciplines and client-facing experience.

You will work with designers, engineers, BIM teams and consultants, delivering buildable solutions in a hybrid/remote setup, with a competitive salary and pension package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience within an engineering design environment.
• Strong engineering design and multidisciplinary coordination experience.
• Background in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, MEP/building services, drainage, water, infrastructure or multidisciplinary consultancy.
• Experience working within BIM-led environments, with familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings, engineering interfaces and construction requirements.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, with confidence working directly with clients and project teams.
• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent professional experience in a relevant engineering discipline; professional accreditation would be advantageous

Responsibilities

Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, Hybrid and Remote available depending on experience

Are you an experienced engineering design professional looking for an opportunity to take ownership of major projects and lead multidisciplinary design delivery?

We are currently recruiting for a Design Lead professional to join an established and growing Design team based in Bradford. This is a senior technical role suited to someone with a strong engineering design background who is confident coordinating projects and working closely with clients, consultants and contractors.

You will take responsibility for technical delivery from early concept through to detailed design and construction support, working alongside designers, engineers, BIM teams and specialist consultants to develop coordinated and buildable solutions.
