Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture or related discipline.
• 5+ years experience in design coordination or design management roles.
• Strong background on large-scale construction projects (Data Centre, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, or Commercial).
• Excellent understanding of design coordination, BIM workflows, and construction methodology.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all design activities across the project.
• Manage design development from concept through to construction and handover.
• Coordinate with BIM teams, consultants, and internal engineering disciplines.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and technical submittals.
• Ensure designs are fully coordinated, clash-free, and buildable.

Were recruiting for an experienced Design Lead to join one of Europes leading data centre contractors on a major mission-critical project based in Blyth, England.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of design coordination and delivery across a flagship data centre project, working closely with design managers, BIM teams, consultants, and construction teams to ensure fully coordinated, buildable, and high-quality design solutions from pre-construction through to handover.

As Design Lead, youll be responsible for driving design development, managing coordination across disciplines, resolving technical issues, and ensuring all design deliverables align with programme, cost, and construction requirements in a fast-paced delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities
