Job summary

Taylor Hopkinson is seeking a Design Interface Engineer for a major infrastructure project in Scotland. You will identify and manage engineering interface and quality risks across all design interfaces, working closely with project leaders to protect schedule and quality.

You will lead the coordination of interfaces across HVDC, AC, Civils and Cables, enforce the Design Interface Process, and ensure timely resolution of conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage engineering interface and quality risks across all design interfaces with project managers and project director
• Lead management of all interfaces across multi-contract delivery (HVDC, AC, Civils, Cables), enforcing the Design Interface Process
• Drive the exchange of design information between interfacing projects and contracts; maintain the Design Interface Register
• Ensure technical requirements are communicated to project teams; champion Safety in Design and CDM compliance; review construction methods
• Identify Design Interface Process and KPI improvements and lead on implementation drawing input from the wider team
• Drive continuous improvement across the engineering interface function and share lessons learned to raise standards across the programme
