Job summary

Royal College of Art invites applications for a Tutor (Research) in Design Futures within the School of Communication & Design. The role is 0.43 FTE, part-time, fixed term until 31 August 2027, and involves contributing to postgraduate learning in Design Products.

You will teach across lectures, workshops and tutorials, provide high-quality academic and pastoral support, and assist with exhibitions and events. A first degree is required; a PGCert and HEA fellowship are desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to devise and teach courses at undergraduate/postgraduate level.
• Strong commitment to inclusive learning environments and high-quality teaching.
• Ability to supervise Masters level work and engage with research supervision training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, workshops, seminars, critiques and tutorials for a postgraduate Design Products programme.
• Contribute to assessment, student recruitment and programme development across the School and College.
• Organise and deliver exhibitions and events, including leading designated projects such as the graduate exhibition.
