Job Description:

Our client is a global leader in Hydraulic Lifting equipment and is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join their team in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

To apply for this role, you’ll need a valid UK driving license.

Reporting to the Design Manager, you’ll be responsible for operational processes in the development and maintenance of Jigs and Fixture Design systems. This role involves working within the Design team to continuously improve and grow the in-house engineering capabilities.

As a Design Engineer, your tasks include:

• Leading and facilitating the design, manufacture, and implementation of new jigs and fixtures
• Designing jigs, fixtures, and bespoke equipment in a cost-effective manner
• Creating BOMs for all designs and machine user manuals
• Liaising with Design Engineers at MK to drive improvements identified from design for manufacture activities
