Job summary

Shields (Driffield) Ltd is seeking a full-time Design Engineer to produce detailed drawings and plans from site surveys and client specifications in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with Senior Designers and Project Engineers, applying a mechanical engineering background and SolidWorks proficiency to deliver engineering solutions that meet project requirements and deadlines. The role offers career progression and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• SolidWorks experience required.
• Strong mechanical engineering background essential.
• Understanding of manufacture processes and materials.
• Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed drawings and plans from site survey information and client specifications.
• Collaborate with Senior Designers and Project Engineers to develop engineering solutions.
• Maintain accuracy and timeliness to meet project deadlines.
• Support ongoing training and development within the role and company.
