Design Engineer (Composer)

Are you a Design Engineer or similar with knowledge of Composer looking for a varied role with a manufacturer undertaking a period of exciting growth, who will utilize and expand your design skillset, progress into senior positions and be involved in the full product lifecycle?

On offer is the opportunity to join a family-run, tight knit company who have been established for over 20 years. The company are responsible for the full design and manufacturing of wheelchair access ramps for the transport industry including public sector and private companies.

In this varied role, you will be responsible for the creation of technical drawings for wheelchair ramps, providing technical support, product testing and improvements. You will work closely with the design manager and be put through training to develop and broaden your skillset and see your designs come to life.

This role would suit a Design Engineer or similar with a background using Composer that would like to become part of a family-run business with a passion for creative engineering, receive training to upskill themselves and progress your career.

THE ROLE:

- Mechanical Design projects using Solidworks

- Product testing, improvements and prototyping

- In-house training on product lifecycle and processes

- Monday - Friday, (8am-4pm)

THE PERSON:

- Design Engineer or similar

- Composer background

- Background in sheet metal or fabrication design

- Commutable to Dartford
