Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in a mechanical design, product development or similar engineering role.
• Strong 3D CAD skills, ideally Autodesk Inventor, with proven sheet metal design experience.
• Experience producing manufacturing drawings and BOMs.
• Experience with ECNs / engineering change control and an understanding of their wider business impact.
• Good understanding of design for manufacture and practical engineering.
• Basic understanding of pumps and fluid systems.
• Some electrical knowledge, or willingness to develop electrical drawing skills.
• Practical, hands‑on approach to problem solving.
• Good attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Create sheet metal designs using Autodesk Inventor for standard and bespoke products.
• Produce manufacturing drawings, BOMs and job packs for Production.
• Manage ECNs and understand their impact across the wider business.
• Maintain drawings and technical documentation, including user and maintenance manuals.
• Provide technical support to Production and Service.
• Support prototype development and R&D projects.
• Develop practical, manufacturable design solutions in line with relevant standards.
• Support configured electrical design by adapting existing electrical drawings.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of product reliability, efficiency and performance.
