Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Design Engineer with a Roofing/Cladding background to lead design across projects in Manchester. You will produce working drawings, oversee material scheduling and liaise with site teams. This is a technical role with clear progression towards directorship.

The role requires a full UK driving license and the ability to commute to Warrington as needed. A competitive salary (£60,000 - £65,000) and a company car allowance are on offer, alongside early Friday

Qualifications

• Design Engineer or similar with roofing/cladding experience.
• Strong ability to produce project drawings and fabrication drawings.
• Willingness to travel to site for surveying and coordination.

Are you a Design Engineer with a background in Roofing/Cladding or similar looking to get into an exciting role where you will be the go-to technical person for design for a company that offers progression all the way to directorship?

Do you want to join a well-respected Roofing and Cladding company that due to its growth is looking for a Design Engineer to lead design company wide and is offering a competitive package?

In this role the successful Design Engineer will Produce specific working drawings for both Projects and Fabrications, oversee Material scheduling and procurement, conduct site measuring and surveying as and when needed and liaise with site staff and supervisors regarding any design related issues.

This role would suit a Design Engineer with a background in Cladding/Roofing looking for a new challenge within a company where you will be the technical design expert and have the opportunity to progress to directorship.
