Our client BAE Systems, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a proficient General Engineer with experience in warship aviation services. This contract role, situated in Scotstoun, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the Naval Ships business unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce layout drawings in 2D CAD of aviation compartments for stakeholder review and detailed design integration.
• Support design reviews and zonal reviews, providing maturity evidence.
• Update technical equipment specifications for aviation systems and coordinate with suppliers to meet agreed specifications.
• Maintain and update Windchill PLM with part, system, occurrence, and compartment data to ensure accurate design presentation.
• Coordinate with systems engineers and detail designers both internally and with external partners on the integration of aviation systems.

Job Requirements:

• Experienced BAE-Outfit engineer, particularly in naval and/or commercial ship outfit systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software like AutoCAD or FORAN.
• Strong understanding of system and spatial integration issues.
• Ability to produce technical reports and documentation.
• Knowledge and experience in compartment design and aviation systems within a warship context.
