Job summary

HASH is seeking a Design Engineer to design and build interfaces that help people understand and act on complex systems. You will own implementation, working across product and brand/web while shipping production-ready React and TypeScript code.

The role is hybrid, combining product work and brand/web, with close collaboration to engineers, researchers and the founder. Strong design judgment and proactive ownership are essential.

Qualifications

• Production-level ability with React, TypeScript, HTML and modern CSS.
• Strong visual craft across typography, layout, spacing, hierarchy, color, states and motion.
• Experience designing and building responsive, accessible interfaces from rough requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions end-to-end from UX wires to production interfaces.
• Work with product teams to understand workflows and constraints.
• Design and build interfaces for graphs, models, simulations and AI-assisted workflows.
• Prototype interaction paradigms and test before team commits to an approach.
• Ship polished production interfaces in React and TypeScript.
