Job description

Grundfos Manufacturing, based in Sunderland, is seeking a talented and experienced Engineer to Order (ETO) Design Engineer.

In this role, you will be responsible for specifying and designing a range of bespoke pumping solutions for offsite build to meet the needs of our customers in Building Services, Water Utilities, and Industry. You will also develop professional relationships with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include fulfilling customer enquiries, providing technical and cost information to support sales and delivery. You will manage product specification development and support production and support departments with accurate information such as drawings, bills of materials, and line-side guidance.

Additionally:

• Support quick cost and sizing estimation of project orders
• Manage Engineer to Order pumping projects from enquiry to delivery and commissioning
• Create general arrangement designs from customer specifications, including P&ID
• Support Project Fulfilment Manager with project control
• Coordinate project requirements and expedite actions across departments and stakeholders for complex orders
• Develop and improve Grundfos’ project order processes
• Support Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives

What qualifications and experience would we like you to have?

• Degree in mechanical or structural engineering preferred, or ONC with relevant experience
• Experience in delivering engineered products and services; automotive or pumping solutions experience advantageous
• Experience with new product introduction or project delivery
• Proficiency with 2/3D CAD software; Catia and Revit advantageous
• Experience with enterprise resource planning systems like SAP desirable
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
