Job summary

NRL in Watford is seeking a Design Engineer to join a leading infrastructure contractor. You will produce calculations, drawings and reports for temporary and permanent works, liaise with clients and project teams, and work with senior engineers to develop safe, innovative solutions.

The role offers hybrid working after induction (minimum three days in office) with an initial full-time office focus. A Civil/Structural Engineering degree and post-graduate design experience are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• A few years post-graduate design experience is expected.
• Experience producing design calculations, checks and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Produce design calculations, reports and drawings for temporary and permanent works.
• Undertake design checks and contribute to risk assessments.
• Liaise with clients, project managers and construction teams to ensure design delivery.
• Work with senior engineers to develop safe and innovative engineering solutions.
• Support coordination of multiple workstreams and ensure project quality control.
• Review designs and resolve engineering queries while contributing to process improvements.
