Job Description:

Duration: Contract

Location: Hybrid Working - Customer location as required in Warwick

Responsibilities:
  • 5+ years of automotive Catia V5 design experience
  • Experience with body structures (BIW / Panels)
  • Knowledge of aluminium extrusions
  • A positive, proactive and flexible mindset
  • Basic mechanical, material and production knowledge
  • Fluency in English
  • Good level of technical capability, including familiarity with body structure construction methods and materials, such as metals and plastics
  • Awareness of component manufacturing techniques, including casting, pressing, extrusion, joining, and fastening methods
  • Experience in delivery of engineering releases
Nice to Have Criteria:
  • Complex assembly experience
  • Ability to work proactively and independently
  • Engineering and/or development experience of electric vehicles
  • Ability to aid design decisions and issue resolution
  • Great attention to detail and an attitude to produce 'right first time' quality work
  • Good understanding of mechanical design requirements for typical automotive applications, e.g., fastening systems, sealing solutions, and manufacturing techniques
  • Understanding of DFMEA and risk assessment techniques in the automotive environment
  • PC literate and at ease with MS Office products
