Granola is seeking a Design Engineer to bridge design and engineering, crafting polished, delightful user experiences. The role mixes design and code, with hybrid work and a London-based office presence.

You’ll build a scalable design system in Figma and React, prototype production-ready UI, and collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to bring features to life across platforms. Relocation assistance is available for candidates moving to London.

Qualifications

• Experience as Design Engineer or frontend engineer with strong design skills.
• Proficient with React, TypeScript, Tailwind and modern frontend architecture.
• Strong visual and interaction design with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a robust design system in Figma and code.
• Prototype and ship production-ready UI with typography, color, motion and microinteractions.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering from concept to implementation.
• Maintain consistency across Mac, Windows and iOS platforms.
• Identify and fix gaps between design and engineering to raise quality.
• Invent new interaction patterns for AI-powered tools.
