Job summary

Weir Minerals is looking for a Designer for a 12-month fixed term in Todmorden, UK. This role involves producing 3D models and 2D drawings, designing new products, and providing technical support across engineering and operations. Candidates should have a HNC in Mechanical Engineering and 3–5 years of relevant experience. Strong proficiency in CAD software, particularly NX, is essential. Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in mechanical design, fabrication, and assembly environments.
• Knowledge of fabrication principles, welding standards (AWS & ISO), and mineral processing or pumping equipment.

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D assembly models and 2D detail and fabrication drawings using CAD systems.
• Design new products and optimise existing designs.
• Review drawings and design solutions to ensure manufacturability.
• Provide technical design support to Sales and Operations.
• Demonstrate commitment to zero harm behaviours.
