Overview

Design Engineer
Oldbury
Monday - Thursday 7:45am - 4:45pm, Friday 7:45am - 12:45pm
£40,000 per annum DOE
Permanent, Office-Based

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify 2D and 3D designs using SolidWorks and/or Alphacam.
• Develop CNC-ready files and support programming for foam conversion machinery.
• Collaborate with production and technical teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective.
• Assist in prototyping and testing new product concepts.
• Maintain accurate documentation and design records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within design and manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a design engineering role using SolidWorks and/or Alphacam.
• Strong understanding of CAD/CAM principles and CNC manufacturing.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
