Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + progression + 33 days holiday + pension + medical cash plan

This role offers the chance to lead the full mechanical design process, from preparing designs and meeting customer expectations to liaising with manufacturing for production.

The company's growth and commitment to product improvement have created a vacancy for a Mechanical Design Engineer. You will be part of an established, multidisciplinary team, involved in introducing new products and enhancing existing designs.

Your responsibilities will include using SolidWorks software to design and develop components, assisting with product testing, and creating Bills of Materials (BoMs).

The ideal candidate will have experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software, knowledge of general engineering manufacturing and fabrication, and a desire to advance their career. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on exciting, bespoke projects in specialist industries.

The Role

• 2D & 3D designing using SolidWorks
• Working on projects to improve new and existing products
• Contributing to testing, creating BoMs, and liaising with other departments

The Person

• Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D software
• Knowledge of sheet metals and welding
