Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a dedicated engineer to design temporary works, including Formwork and Falsework, for groundworks and related schemes in a dynamic environment.

The role requires 3+ years in temporary works design, a civil/structural qualification, and proficiency with AutoCAD 2D or REVIT. You will collaborate with sales and clients, visit sites, and help drive continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications

• A HND or degree in civil/structural engineering.
• At least 3 years experience designing temporary works.
• The ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
• Experience of designing Formwork & Falsework.
• Good understanding of CDM 2015.
• Experience utilising AutoCAD 2D and/or REVIT.

Responsibilities

• Design temporary works for groundworks following BS5975:2019.
• Attend client meetings and carry out site visits.
• Review design briefs from sales via Launchpad and request info if needed.
• Manage your own workload and contribute to improvement projects.

Job description

• Prepare temporary works designs for groundworks and eventually other product schemes.
• Checking designs and drawing in accordance with BS5975:2019
• Attend client meetings and carry out site visits.
• Review design briefs provided by the sales team through Launchpad and provide feedback if more information is required.
• Manage your own workload
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects as agreed by the Engineering Director.
