What you'll be doing?

The Design and Technical teams are involved in all aspects of housing design and innovation. This team is also responsible for researching the best materials at the best cost.

In terms of design, there’s a variety of sites, many of which use existing buildings, each with unique challenges. The team also focuses on new materials, sustainability, and value, all while complying with evolving building and environmental legislation.

Most team members have an architectural or engineering background. The role offers opportunities to gain expertise in design and project management in a stimulating environment.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager or Technical Director, you will oversee the design of infrastructure and groundwork packages for residential developments.

You Will Be Expected To

• Procure service records and enquiries for new developments, ensuring timely payments for infrastructure supporting build programmes.
• Oversee the design and detailing by external Consulting Engineers for external works, including foundation solutions, estate roads, and sewers, involving Section 38, 104, and S278 agreements.
• Secure adoption agreements (S38, S104, S278) promptly to align with development schedules, and manage bonds accordingly.
• Contribute to securing structural designs for superstructure components.
• Continuously evaluate and peer-review Consultants’ designs to ensure adherence to best practices in value engineering and statutory compliance.
• Liaise with other Technical Team members and stakeholders to discharge building regulations and planning conditions.
