Key responsibilities of our Mechanical Design Engineers
  • Deliver engineering solutions to the agreed specification, program plan, and cost.
  • Investigate, contain, and resolve faults to ensure there is no negative impact on the running of Power Units.
  • Create, collate, and communicate the engineering direction to key stakeholders.
  • Create and release detailed engineering models and technical drawings using Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
  • Remove mechanical limitations to performance development and deployment.
  • Actively contribute to the team’s and department’s development.
Essential competencies for our Mechanical Design Engineers
  • Previous experience in developing detailed requirements from an engineering scope.
  • Proficiency in using CAD packages to produce 3D models and 2D engineering drawings.
  • Experience in delivering engineering direction with imperfect data.
  • Mechanical (or similar discipline) engineering degree or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Successful experience in fault investigation, containment, and rectification.
  • Experience in designing for manufacture to improve quality, reduce cost, and reduce lead time without sacrificing performance.
  • Designing from a clean sheet using first principles.

At Red Bull Powertrains, these roles offer not only a fantastic team environment but also a competitive salary and benefits such as a bonus scheme, private healthcare, life assurance, workplace nursery, pension scheme, on-site gym and fitness classes, free daily food, and a cycle-to-work scheme.
